A very unique take on a roguelike mixed with card mechanics and an original way of overworld exploration, has lots of replayability and each character has a lot of potentially good builds and synchronization with other characters, I hope they make a sequel one day

Was looking for a new fresh and addictive roguelike game with a lot of replay value and Roguebook did not disappoint. The map "painting" mechanic feels very original and exciting, and it satisfies my min-max urge by allowing me to get more rewards by carefully optimizing how I use my brushes and inks. The characters are very well-designed and voiced over, and the whole game aesthetic is pleasing and the battles enjoyable. Each victory where you get minimal to no damage back feels very rewarding. Even though luck has an impact, it feels like how the run goes is entirely up to your choices and strategy. The only thing that kind of annoys me about this game is the monotony of the music and how cheap it seems (I am pretty sure it's the 3rd or 4th game I hear with this background melody, and I don't play a lot of games at all). Otherwise it's a great choice, specifically for folks who like deckbuilders.
