I haven't played the other games in the series but I loved the concept of the floating worlds and the single player made it very satisfying to learn how play. A bit complicated but not too bad, the combat could use a little more spice other than the hexes they provided, but the fact that they have turn based combat instead of just the guys hitting each other is a step in the right direction. This is a bit up a step up from CIV, and a good opening to other TBS games.
