What's the story?

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a great example of a J-RPG. We develop our character through exploration of the terrain. We are talking about the continent of Allraan. There we will find many tasks that will give us experience, equipment and a pass to enter the depths of this fascinating story where a single power dominates the entire area. What about the fighting? Let's remember that they are turn-based. On the battlefield we command a team of six. During the game we meet over a hundred characters who contribute their brick and story to the prevailing conflict. Everyone has their own story, and during the fight it takes on a completely different meaning. We will meet not only soldiers, but also specialists in other fields. It is thanks to them that we will improve our units and our character. This is where the previously mentioned town, which is of key importance, comes into play. It is our hero who will be responsible for recruiting individual people, who can be, for example, a local blacksmith, cook, craftsman or merchant. What attracts attention and leaves a nice taste in terms of immersion is the fact that characters can join guilds, which gives them specific attributes. All this affects the final shape of the managed city.
Devs are the masters of the genre
The game is being developed by Japanese studio Rabbit & Bear Studios, which has a knack for this genre. The game has many references to the cult classic Suikoden, which is often considered a seminal example of gameplay in this category. The entire production team was led by Yoshitaka Murayama, who sadly passed away in February 2024. Murayama was a game designer, director and producer. He was also a personal fan of games that gave him great joy. So the game has earned the title of a tribute even before its release. But that's not all. The team also includes Junko Kawano, Osamu Komuta and Junichi Murakami. Fans of Japanese games will surely recognize this gaming galaxy.
