As a stand alone game it is a solid JRPG, the story is good, the voice acting is OK, there are plenty of side quests and like most jrpg's there's fishing. The graphics are pretty good spell graphics are flashy overall its pretty fun.

Some side missions can affect the ending of the game. The character design is great as well. I recommend this game to anyone that wants to give the Tales series a chance.
